Inhaltsbeschreibung für das Semester: This lecture is planned as a companion to the course Introduction to Linguistics and as such has a double objective. For one thing, it will add text- and communication-related areas of linguistic analysis to the basics covered in the introductions and for another, it will introduce various topic-related studies in order to offer an insight into how those basics can be investigated, and to show what are applications of or recent newcomers to linguistics.
